How to use Glycomet-GP Tablet SR
Take Glycomet Gp 1 forte in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Glycomet-GP 1 Tablet is to be taken with food.
Glycomet-GP 1 Tablet may cause stomach upset if taken empty stomach.
How Glycomet-GP Tablet SR works
Glycomet GP 1 composition is a combination of two antidiabetic medicines: Glimepiride and Metformin. Glimepiride is a sulfonylurea which works by increasing the amount of insulin released by the pancreas in order to lower the blood glucose. Metformin is a biguanide which works by lowering glucose production in the liver, delaying glucose absorption from intestines and increasing the body’s sensitivity to insulin.
What are the dosage instructions?
The missed dose can be taken as soon as you remember. If it is time for the next dosage then the missed dose can be skipped.It is recommended to discontinue the medication and contact your doctor immediately if an overdose is suspected.

Glycomet-Gp 1 Tablet Sr can cause diarrhea along with stomach discomfort, nausea, and vomiting.
- Impaired liver function
Glycomet-Gp 1 Tablet Sr can cause an increase in serum Transaminase and other components indicating an impaired liver function.
